Visitors under the Schengen short-stay regime may spend at most 90 days inside the Schengen area within any rolling 180-day window. It is not 90 days per trip or 90 days per half-year: the window slides every day, and both your entry day and your exit day count as full days. iReside computes it continuously, so you always know where you stand.

iReside already knows which country you were in each day from automatic GPS tracking. It counts your days across all 29 Schengen countries in the current 180-day window and shows days used, days remaining, the date you need to leave by if you stay, and the earliest date you can re-enter after leaving.

All 29 members of the Schengen area, including recent joiners Bulgaria and Romania. Non-Schengen countries like Ireland and Cyprus do not count toward the limit. The member list is editable in settings, so your counts stay correct if membership changes.

Each civil day counts once for each country you were present in. A day you cross from France to Belgium counts as one Schengen day, not two. Rules that use midnight counting can be set to overnight mode, and at-sea or in-transit days can be logged as counting nowhere.
