Delete Your Account
This page is for users of the iReside app (published by G2M Ventures LLC) who want to delete their account and the data stored with it. You do not need to install or reopen the app to make a request. Deleting your account is permanent and cannot be undone.
Before you delete: cancel your subscription
Deleting your iReside account does not cancel a paid subscription. Billing is handled by the app store you subscribed through, so cancel there first or you may keep being charged.
- iPhone or iPad: open Settings, tap your name, tap Subscriptions, choose iReside, then tap Cancel Subscription.
- Android: open the Google Play Store, tap your profile picture, then Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions, choose iReside, then tap Cancel subscription.
If you need help with this step, email support@ireside.ai.
Option 1: Delete your account in the app
- Open iReside and sign in.
- Go to the Profile tab.
- Tap Edit in the top-right corner.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account, then confirm.
On iPhone, if your account uses Sign in with Apple, the app shows an Apple sheet right after you confirm, so Sign in with Apple can be disconnected. You can close that sheet: your account is deleted either way. The Android app will use the same path once it is available.
Option 2: Request deletion without the app
- Email support@ireside.ai from the email address registered to your iReside account, with the subject "Delete my account". If you signed up with Apple's Hide My Email, you can't send from that relay address. Email us from any address, include the relay address shown in the app under Profile, and we will confirm with you through that relay address. Deleting in the app is quicker.
- We will reply to that address asking you to confirm. Please reply within 7 days. We do not delete an account until you confirm.
- We complete the request within 30 days of receiving it (sooner in most cases) and tell you what was deleted. If a request is unusually complex we may extend this by up to two further months; if so, we will tell you within the first 30 days.
What is deleted
When your account is deleted, we permanently delete from our own systems:
- Your sign-in account and profile: email address, name, phone number and sign-in method details.
- Your location history and day records, including coordinates, notes and manual corrections.
- Your residences, custom thresholds, visa and stay-limit rules, document details and preferences, and, if you used Document Backup, your backed-up document files.
- Your acquisition and advertising-measurement records and device identifiers held for ad measurement.
- Your push notification tokens and push delivery records, tracking-health and sync diagnostics, and the account's sharing links with any accountant (CPA) you invited.
What may be kept, and why
| Data | What we keep | Why | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
| Subscription and purchase records | Store transaction identifiers, product, price, currency, storefront country and dates, with the link to your account removed. The identifiers are pseudonymous, not anonymous: the app store can match them to you. | Accounting, tax and legal obligations, and fraud prevention | Retained for the period required by law and our accounting records |
| Subscription renewal and cancellation history | The same kind of pseudonymised record (renewal state, plan period, dates) with no email or name | Financial records and accurate subscription statistics | Same as above |
| Record of what was sent to Meta for ad measurement | A log of the events sent to Meta, with the link to your account removed and no email, name or device identifier. It keeps pseudonymous event IDs. | Operational and financial records | Retained unlinked |
| A minimal deletion record | Your internal account ID, sign-up and deletion dates, sign-in provider type and an app-installation ID, plus a pseudonymous hashed ID used to track erasure requests to analytics providers. No email, name or phone number. | Proof we honoured your request, fraud prevention and billing-dispute records | Retained |
| Backups | Copies of the deleted data in routine database backups | Disaster recovery | Removed when those backups expire |
| Email unsubscribe list | If you ever unsubscribed from our emails, that email address, so we never email you again | Honouring your unsubscribe request | Retained |
| Abuse blocklist | Only if an account was removed for abuse: the email address, kept to stop it being registered again | Preventing abuse | Retained |
Third-party services
Some data about you may be held by service providers that act on our behalf. When you delete your account, we delete your identifiers from our own copies. The analytics providers we use, PostHog (product analytics) and Singular (ad measurement), hold data under a pseudonymous ID rather than your name or email. If you want us to ask either of them to erase that data, email support@ireside.ai and we will send the request. Providers process deletion requests on their own schedule, and we cannot guarantee how quickly or in every case that they complete it. We also cannot ask Meta to delete events that were already delivered to it for ad measurement. Meta provides its own controls for this in your Facebook account settings (Off-Facebook Activity). Apple and Google keep their own records of your purchases under their own policies.
If you want us to follow up on a specific provider, email support@ireside.ai.
